Skiing in Bulgaria
I always try to go skiing every year but in recent times the price of such a holiday has risen and risen. You now realistically need at least a thousand pounds to go to one of the favoured resorts in the Alps, and if you are looking for the best locations possible, then you can easily double that figure.
My friends and I were loathe to miss out on the opportunity of going skiing, but we had to be realistic. None of us could afford that sort of money. I was ready to give up and accept a day at the Snow dome in Milton Keynes when one of my friends suggested Bulgaria. To be honest I had heard people talking about skiing in Bulgaria, but I had never really considered it before now.
When I started to investigate the possibility, I have to say that I was impressed. All of the main resorts in Bulgaria had permanent snow cannons which meant a pretty good guarantee of snow whatever the weather, and they all had enough runs to keep all of us occupied.
I could see that the cost of staying in the skiing resorts of Bulgaria was cheap, but we needed to know about transport. I looked on the internet to see how much our flights would cost us and I managed to find some incredibly cheap Bulgaria flights exactly when we wanted to go. We figured out that we were going to save between two and three hundred pounds each so we went for Bulgaria ahead of France and felt pretty confident that we would have a great time!
